Cost of Attendance 2023 - 2024


Cost of Attendance is an estimated budget of a student’s potential expenses while in school.  The amounts for the components listed are not actual charges. Please see the Tuitions and Fees page for actual charges. Beginning with the 2023 / 2024 year, the cost of attendance components for students who are enrolled in six or more hours are:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Living expenses (housing and food)
  • Books, course materials, supplies and equipment
  • Transportation
  • Miscellaneous expenses
  • Professional Licensure, Certification, or a First Professional Credential

Other components which may be considered upon request with documentation are:

  • Dependent care
  • Disability-related expenses (not covered by other agencies)
  • Study abroad expenses
  • Reinstatement of housing allowance, if removed due to military address

Additional Information

Cooperative Education Expenses - Allowance added for students in cooperative education program.  May include reasonable costs associated with employment.  For 23/24, only the Butchery Certificate falls into this category.  $400 will be added to COA for students in this program.

Adjustments may be made on a case-by-case basis through PJ for actual expenses for books, course materials, supplies and equipment including the cost of computer rental or purchase.  Student must submit a written request along with receipts and documentation to be considered.

Special requests may be made to include the following categories in a student's COA (below are not considered PJ):

All special requests to include additional expenses in the COA must include receipts and documentation. Expenses must be reasonable.  Maximum limits do apply.  Changes to COA do not change amount of financial aid received in most cases.

Dependent Care Expenses - Allowance may be added by student's written request.  Request must state the number and age(s) of dependents receiving care and the timeframe care is provided for class time, study time, field work, internships, and commuting time.  Allowance will not exceed reasonable cost in the community.

Disability-Related Expenses - Allowance may be added by student's written request for reasonably incurred expenses related to student's disability such as special services, personal assistance, transportation, equipment and supplies.  These expenses will NOT be allowed if they are already provided by other agencies.  Student should include documentation of the expense with the request.

Study Abroad Expenses - Allowance may be added by student's written request for study abroad that has been approved for credit by WSCC.  Request must include the reasonable costs associated with the study abroad experience and may include fees for travel documents, passport or visa, required vaccinations, additional transportation costs or administrative fees.  Receipts of costs should be included.
