Walters State Scholarship Deadline Feb. 1
The deadline to apply for scholarships awarded by Walters State Community
College is Thursday, Feb. 1. Last year, over $500,000 in scholarships were awarded
through the Walters State Foundation.
The scholarship application can be completed at https://ws.edu/cost-aid/types/scholarships/ws-scholarships/index.aspx. To apply, students must first be admitted to the college. Applications for admissions
are located at https://ws.edu/admissions/index.aspx.
Some scholarships are based on merit factors, including ACT scores or high school
grade point averages. Others are based on need. Many are given based on major or county
of residence.
Scholarships are awarded in addition to funds received through Tennessee Promise,
Tennessee Reconnect or the Hope Lottery Scholarship. The funds may be used for tuition,
books, transportation and other related expenses.
